Chota Char Dham which consists of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, is a major Hindu pilgrimage circuit that lies in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. All the places mentioned above, are surrounded by high mountains with an elevation of more than 3000 meters. 

 Lots of pilgrimages visit these places every year. The Chota Char Dham usually commences on Akshaya Tritiya, from the month of April-May, and Continues till the second day of Diwali between October and November. 

These places are one of the coldest places in India. According to the tradition, the Char Dham Yatra commences from east to west i.e. from Yamunotri, then continuing to Gangotri then reaching Kedarnath, and lastly Badrinath.
